What a ceramic coating does

Ceramic is not a miracle product, but it is a very good protective layer when the preparation is right.

Water beading

The surface becomes smoother and water-repellent. Rain beads off, dirt struggles to stick.

Easier care

The car stays clean for longer, hand washing is quicker and insects come off more easily.

Lasting gloss

The coating preserves the polished paint. That is why we polish first, in one or two stages depending on the package.

Protection from the elements

It protects against UV light and aggressive substances such as bird droppings or tree sap.

Wheels and glass

Depending on the package, we also coat wheels and windows. Brake dust and rain stick less.

The limit

Ceramic does not help against stone chips. For that there is XPEL paint protection film, and the two can be combined.

How your ceramic coating is done

Step 01
Assessment

We look at the paint, measure its thickness and tell you the scope, duration and fixed price upfront.
Step 02
Cleaning

Hand wash and decontamination with clay, fallout and tar remover, so nothing stays trapped under the coating.
Step 03
Polishing

One- or two-stage polishing depending on the package. Swirls and fine scratches are removed before coating.
Step 04
Coating and handover

Application in one to three layers, curing, a joint inspection and care tips so the protection lasts.

Guide

How long does a ceramic coating last?

That depends on the package and on care. As a guide: around two years with one layer, four years with two layers and five years or more with three layers.

The coating lasts longest with hand washing using a pH-neutral shampoo. Avoid brush car washes. With our annual ceramic maintenance service we refresh gloss and water beading.

Ceramic on a new car

A coating is especially worthwhile on a new car: the paint is still free from wash scratches, and the protection works from day one. New cars up to six months old get 10% off ceramic. If you buy your car through our new car brokerage, we can coat it right before the handover.

Ceramic or paint protection film?

Ceramic protects chemically and brings gloss and easy care. It does not help against stone chips; for that, XPEL paint protection film is the right choice. The two work well together: film on the exposed areas, ceramic on the rest and on top of the film.

When we take in your car, we draw up a condition report with photos. You can cancel appointments free of charge up to 48 hours in advance.
If the paint thickness is not sufficient for the booked stage, we tell you before continuing; we only change the scope with your consent.

How much does a ceramic coating cost?

Depending on the vehicle class: Ceramic Essential €649 to €849, Advanced €949 to €1,249, Signature €1,490 to €1,890. Polishing is included in each. Based on photos or a look at the car, you receive a binding fixed price. All prices are in the price list.

How long does a ceramic coating last?

As a guide: around two years with one layer, four years with two and five years or more with three layers. Care is what counts: hand washing with a pH-neutral shampoo, no brush car washes.

How long does the coating take?

Including polishing and curing time, several days depending on the condition of the paint. We give you the schedule upfront.

Does the paint need polishing first?

Yes. The coating preserves the paint in the condition it is in when applied. That is why every package includes polishing. We measure the paint thickness first; if it is not enough for the booked stage, we tell you before continuing.

Is ceramic worth it on a new car?

Yes, especially then: the paint is still free from wash scratches. New cars up to six months old get 10% off ceramic.

Ceramic or paint protection film?

Ceramic brings gloss, water beading and easy care. Paint protection film additionally protects against stone chips and scratches. The two combine well.

Do you collect my car?

Yes. Within 30 km, for example from Hanover, Langenhagen or Burgwedel, collection and delivery costs €49 each way; from an order value of €900 it is free if agreed in the order. From elsewhere in Germany and the EU we organise the transport.
